RE/100 MSN-03 Jagd Doga (Oldtype Custom)
I began planning this project when I learned a 1/100 scale Jagd Doga was available in the RE/100 line, but it took a long time to come to fruition because I wanted to use the Quess variant from P-Bandai in order to get that version's faceplate and kickass beam gatling. After many months waiting for the kit to travel on a literal slow boat from Japan, I was very excited to build this one.
Although the Jagd Doga is famously a newtype-use suit, what with the psychoframe cockpit and remote funnel weapons, I found myself toying with the notion of a oddball unit without that equipment. After all, Anaheim Electronics based their development of this machine upon the grunt suit Geara Doga—and perhaps they would've constructed a mechanical test unit while another team worked on refining the psycommu system and funnels. What if, instead of disassembling that test unit for spare parts after AE's development was complete, some astute Axis engineer intervened, earmarking that high-performance prototype for a capable pilot without newtype abilities?
As with the Gundam Mk. III I'd built just before it, I opted for a battleship grey sort of look. (In fact, I'd planned this color scheme before I got the notion of building the Mk. III at all.)
For the monoeye, I used a stick-on plastic jewel instead of the usual flat sticker. This domed piece has a reflective backing, so when it catches the light it returns a compelling glint. It also makes the eye look much more substantial in general.
Forswearing the kit's fixed hands, I splurged on a spare pair of so-called emotion manipulators, the highly articulated hands used with the vaunted MG Sazabi ver. Ka. They didn't come with their own back plates, so I had to file the ones from the kit to fit the new hands. I also had to make some adjustments to the grip tabs on both the hands themselves and the Jagd Doga's weapons. Unfortunately the resulting fit is imperfect, making the suit's grip on its weapons rather weak. This is especially an issue with the large, relatively heavy beam gatling, which also causes the wrist to sag.
Posing the suit is also difficult on the whole. Although its joints have decent range, the bulkiness of its design doesn't permit very many poses. Additionally, despite lacking an inner mechanical frame, its large components are still fairly heavy, which keeps the Jagd Doga from holding some poses at all even if it can be positioned into them. For instance, it is capable of a fair bit of torso bend, but the joint isn't strong enough to hold the suit's weight.
Despite its shortcomings, I like this model a lot. I knew what I was getting into in terms of its limitations, and I enjoyed the relative simplicity of the kit. While it can't hold particularly dynamic poses, its massive size and unmistakeable character give it a lot of presence.

So I've finally gotten around to finishing that mix of the RX-124 Woundwart and RX-105 Xi, I also used the Head from Alice and the backpack from the ORX-005 Gaplant as for the breaker parts is has the Funnels from the MSN-03 Jagd Doga on it's forearms (originally was gonna put them on the thighs but they anchored onto the arms), it has the RX-78-2's V-fin on it's chest to replicate the Minovsky flight attachment from the Xi, I put the RGM-96X Jesta's grenade pack on it's spine, used the GN-010 Zabanya's Holster Bits as wings attached to the backpack and finally used the Aegis's Beam Saber Oscillation blades as stabilizers on the calves. This is my first custom Gunpla so I'm sure it's not the best but I thought it turned out great

Here we go - the Morioh MS Team! (No Rohan - Battle Teens Only!)
Josuke's CD99 Crazy Diamond - hard to see at this angle but I did add a vent piece by the Vfin to give it a pomp. Built around the arms of the Bolt Gundam because I really wanted him to get Gia Crusher and that move is linked to the arms. It's the only suit in the line up without funnels
Okuyasu's BC-H99 The Hand - Built around the Dark Army arms due to the spiked wrists. The Jagd Doga head may not be the squarest head, but it has the same problem as The Hand - Awkward Blind Spots. Not shown here, he has 2 atomic bazookas: closest you can get to just erasing somebody.
Koichi's Echoes MK2 - oddly uses a lot of leftovers from the Jagd Doga with other bits here and there. As the name implies it was mostly based on Echoes Act 2. It has the most funnels of the Morioh MS Team.
Yukako's DokiDoki Deluxe - Mostly a bash of the Noble Gundam and the Sinanju with the backpack of the Rozen Zuku. Also has the face guard of the Turn A Gundam used to add Horns to the hair.

It's been forever since I posted anything gunpla related, so here's a Jagd Doga I've been working on. I wanted to try repainting the silver/gold parts for fun.
#gunpla stuff#still need to topcoat and line of course#but I definitely need to practice hand painting more often...

Alright, so GBO2 was kind enough to drop a Kämpfer High-Mobility type for me the other day, so I figured I’d use this as a springboard to talk about the design, and by extension my feelings towards UC Engage’s designs as a whole.
I already went over the Kämpfer and its variants previously, but being able to compare the models in GBO2 changes things a bit.
There’s actually a lot of subtle differences that I hadn’t caught the first time around that distinguishes the High-Mobility type. When compared to the original Kämpfer; the chest’s larger and rounder, the head is wider, the armour on the arms is different and the legs have a feminine design closer to the Gerbera Tetra. It’s very good, the increased mass implies a more powerful reactor and the masses of extra thrusters do make it feel like a High-Mobility unit. The head incorporates Vulcan guns, and the suit itself also incorporates a beam machinegun, again implying an improved reactor. The thruster pack is similar to the Gerbera-Tetra’s but it feels much more like prototype, with its larger fuel tanks and holes for multiple large thrusters, as opposed to the Gerbera Tetra’s more understated look. The design has a much more rounded feel for it, typical of space-use units. It’s just rather annoying, because I’d written it off as “Kämpfer with Gerbera Tetra Thrusters”, so coming back to it and finding all these deign flourishes is…… just sort of odd. Like, yeah maybe I should’ve looked a little closer, or maybe it should’ve been a little more attention-grabbing in the first place?
See, I generally don’t like officialised “kitbash” designs - I typically find that there’s too many familiar elements, so the design doesn’t really have much of an identity of itself. Yeah, battle damage or repair’s fine, but when a designs’ just bits from one suit slapped on another it just feels rather unimaginative to me.
But then again, shared equipment between mobile suits typically speaks of an elegance of design to me - these are machines that are outfitted for war, so standardisation is helpful in that respect. I’m typically a big fan of seeing the MMP-80 machine gun or 90mm bullpup machine gun on one year war units, because they’re so ubiquitous that I don’t think of them as being part of any single design.
I think what I’m getting at is; I don’t think I like the concept of the Kämpfer High-Mobility type (i.e. fuse the Kämpfer and Gerbera Tetra together due to their shared design philosophies), even if the execution’s much better than I gave it credit for previously.
I’ve been meaning to do a post on UC Engage’s designs for a while now, so I figured I’d package it with my thoughts on the Kämpfer High mobility type. I’m not going to go through every design in the game, I just figured I’d cherry-pick 8 designs I’ve got strong opinions on - what I think works, and what I think doesn’t.
Disclaimer: I’m going to be looking at the UC Engage in-game models for all of these, simply because either higher quality models don’t exist, or I’m not inclined to wait around for GBO2 to supply them to me so I can properly look at them (honestly I tend to use GBO2 as a design gallery more than anything else, but because it’s gatcha I really don’t have much influence over what I get). If I ever receive the higher-quality GBO2 Models, then I’ll note any changes of opinion then. I also don’t really care about the plot or story of UC Engage, but I’m given to understand that it’s explicitly non-canon to the rest of UC (since they put Peche and the Engage Zero in Kamille and Rosamia’s final confrontation during Gryps, and introduce a new Doga unit during Chars Counterattack as a counterpart to the Jagd Doga and Psycho Doga), so I’ll only really be considering the mobile suit designs.
Engage Zero
Okay, nine designs, because I should probably talk about the Protagonist’s suit. The RX-78MS00Z Engage Zero. So -assuming I’m reading this right- the Engage Zero was a prototype/competing design to the Gundam Development Project - the GP series seen during 0083: Stardust Memory, that were developed by Anaheim Electronics. The Engage Zero incorporated magnetic coating technology and a prototype movable frame, which would make it cutting-edge at the time of its release. It and its pilot, Peche Montague, would be passed between various groups and upgraded throughout, eventually concluding in the Neo Zeon designed Engage Zero Yonghwavin, a fully psycommu-equipped mobile suit. The general design of the Engage Zero is that it was developed as a Newtype-speciality machine amongst the rest of the Gundam Development Project.
Design-wise…. Eh. I can imagine it’s difficult to “fit in” another Gundam unit in UC canon at any rate (which is why there’s so many Gundam’s and gundam-a-likes running around in the One Year War, since it’s an easy fit), so tying it into the Gundam Development Project is a smart move, but there’s very little to tie it in design-wise. Yeah, there’s some similarity in the legs, but the chest resembles the G-Self more than anything to me. The arms are what I’d describe as inoffensive - there isn’t anything wrong, per se, there just isn’t anything distinct either. The waist seems to want to suggest a Gelgoog influence with the skirt, but it just looks wrong on a Gundam, and it overshoots and makes me think of the Qubeley. The head’s fine, no real opinion there. It’s overall a very feminine design, which I’m not against or anything, it just again feels odd. Like, it’s a feminine design because the pilot is female, but ….why? It just seems a bit odd tonally, especially since it retains the original gundam’s samurai influences, which are typically rather masculine. It’s a feminine design, but in doing so, it masculine-codes every other design. So it’s a feminine Gundam that causes you to question why every other female Gundam pilot has just had (for want of a better term) a non-feminine Gundam. I just find it incredibly odd from that perspective. I imagine that’s why it makes me think of the Qubeley so much, because that’s the most prominent other feminine design we see in UC.
Dijeh Assault Package
Is the fact that there’s actual art of this one cheating? Anyway, the MSK-008S/A Dijeh Assault Package was an upgraded version of the standard Dijeh, and was used in a bombardment role. It’s essentially a Dijeh with additional weapons, armour and, of course, missiles. I like this one, not necessarily because I think it’s an amazing design (the artwork’s doing a lot of heavy lifting), but because I think it fits so well with Karaba as an organisation. They’ve got a fairly limited number of mobile suit designs available, but a lot of them are very good, so it makes sense to manufacture variants to those units for different mission types. A high-spec bombardment unit that can fight well after the initial barrage is always going to be attractive to a Guerilla organisation, hence the Dijeh Assault Type. Even the reused equipment works really well, since Karaba isn’t known for being well-funded. All-in-all, it’s solid.
Roswell Jegan
I’ve used this one as a punchline a few times, so I’m sure my opinion shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. I really just don’t like the Roswell Jegan. It’s basically a Jegan that was used to test fin funnel weaponry designed by Amuro, which would then be incorporated into the Nu Gundam. I’ve kinda got a lot of questions here - where did the psycho-frame come from? How’s the jegan got the reactor to mount all those fin funnels? How did they know it worked? Doesn’t the existence of the Silver Bullet (funnel test type) kinda invalidate this machine’s existence? Why Roswell?
And all that for a jegan with a little bit of additional armour and funnel rack backpack. Perhaps it’s the fact that I’m no great Jegan fan, but I actually do like a lot of its other variants, so the Roswell Jegan just feels so plain and drab by comparison. A funnel-mounted or newtype-use jegan has potential, I just don’t think the Roswell is that.
Gelgoog Ls
Regrettably, this is the best image I have. The Gelgoog Ls was an upgraded form of the Gelgoog L, a Gelgoog variant designed for defending VIP’s, which was essentially a standard Gelgoog with a new backpack, large shield and heat lance. The only real difference with the two units is that the Gelgoog Ls incorporated more filigree and mounted Vulcan guns in its much larger head. It’s noted that Gelgoog L pilots were often young and barely-trained cadets, which wasn’t uncommon around the time of the Gelgoogs deployment. The Gelgoog Ls, meanwhile was apparently more geared towards the secret service.
The Gelgoog Ls is a bit of an odd one for me. I’m kind of a sucker for Lance units in general, and the Gelgoog seems to be an attempt to backdate guard units like the GAZ-L and GAZ-R into something that started with the principality. Only real issue is that there seems to be an awful lot of “Royal Guard” units running around. There’s the Gelgoog Ls, the Rick Dom, the Galbaldy Alpha, the Gyan Eos and so forth. That and that customising a mobile suit for the Secret Police seems overkill. What are they gonna be facing that requires that level of force, particularly a goddamn heat lance? (the Vulcans make sense, because they’re typically used against infantry or light vehicles, but the Lance is just overkill). The design itself is just…. Fine. Gelgoog with a shield and heat Lance probably didn’t *need* to be its own thing, but I like how the Vulcans are integrated. I am weirdly fascinated by what the backpack looks like, since I’m absolutely certain I’ve seen that design somewhere before, I’ve just no idea where. (I keep thinking it’s from the Gyan Marine from Gihren’s Greed, I know it’s not that)
Finally, I should note that the head appears to be based on contemporary police uniforms. My initial thought was of the “classic” Gendarmerie (the French police service), with the cylindrical hats, which spun out naturally to the Landespolizei (the German police service) and the Ordnungspolizei (the Nazi police service, which I was very happy to find no similarity to), but it seems to be based more on contemporary dress uniforms than anything else, which makes sense, considering the all of the filigree.
Gaza CZ
The Gaza CZ is a Gaza C that has been modified for use in an artillery role, it replaces the shoulder armour of the original Gaza C with missile pods, and the integrated Knuckle Buster with a belt-fed minigun. The Head and legs also appear to have been slightly remodelled - the head’s sleeker and more pointed, emphasising the monoeye (and likely its role in target acquisition), while the characteristic three-digit foot “claws” of the Gaza C have been reduced to a fairly standard looking foot, with the side thruster being enlarged.
The rationale of the Gaza CZ’s design is to up-arm the aging Gaza-C second-line units and use them as artillery support similar to the Zssa. I like this rationale, because it makes sense that Neo Zeon would want to make use of the massive amount of Gaza-C’s it had, and strapping some missile pods to it is a logical and practical approach to this. Even the Gatling gun is excellent, because it would enable more of the mobile suits generator to be directed to its improved thrusters and thus offset the weight of the heavier equipment, and as a second-line unit, it would typically be operating within easy reach of resupply. I just wish I could get a better look at the feet and see it transformed.
Gabthley B
As in “beta”. The original Gabthley is a design from Zeta I just love - it fits perfectly into my definition of a “mid/late-season weirdo”. So good. The Gabthley Beta was a redesigned and upgraded Gabthley used by the Titans. While the original Gabthley showed promise, the design was judged to be too complex and expensive for mass production, which led to the design of the Gabthley B. There’s only stated to be one produced but it really *feels* like a limited-production suit to me. The design’s just wonderful because it’s a just a hodgepodge of Titans mobile suits - there’s the Gabthley, obviously, but it incorporates the arm claws of Scirocco’s Messala, it looks to have a (single) wing binder from the Gaplant and the feyadeen rifle Mk-II is an upgraded form of the original used by the Gabthley and Hambrabi. The large arms and oddly-proportioned body even make this commenter think of some of the oddities of the Titans Test Team, such as the TR-6 Hyze’nthley and the TR-6 Kehaar II. I’d also like to note that the head’s been completely resdesigned - it’s this blend of the monoeye, visor, the original streamlined Gabthley head and it’s even got some Gundam-style protrusions near the collar. It’s a very commanding design, for a commander type unit, it what I’m getting at.
I do hope we see it in a better colour scheme at some point, however. I don’t typically dislike black-and-purple, it’s just that there’s quite a lot of obscure, bulky titans units with that colour scheme, and they tend to look rather similar (especially since it’s a rather busy design).
Nemo Bellator
The Nemo’s an interesting one, since it seems to have dodged the many, many variants of the GM and Jegan. It’s certainly got a fair few, but (with the noted exception of the Nemo III and the absolute superb MSA-003 Nemo Cannon from Aoz) none of them are really that exciting. A bit of armour plating here, a new backpack there, never necessarily setting the world on fire but being pretty solid “yeah, that’s a grunt mobile suit” throughout.
So the Nemo Bellator being just so boring is rather novel, in a way. A Nemo, with back binders and a mega launcher. No reworking of the body, no targeting equipment (like the Hyaku Shiki), no improvement to the generator. There’s just nothing going on here. And the name “Bellator” just sounds like the creator needed a name quickly so they could knock off for lunch.
Sliferail
The Sliferail was an upgraded Gundam Ground Type that was remodelled with the expectation of deploying in cover operations in forests and wetlands. It was apparently a custom job on behalf of the pilot, who specifically requested the addition of the beam javelin.
This is a design where I love the concept, but I’m ambivalent about the execution - we see a bunch of ace custom units in Gundam anyway, and there was a good amount of Gundam Ground Types around, making them an excellent opportunity for variant designs in different theatres. The Sliferail is essentially a counterpart to the Ez8, showing how another pilot adapted to the changing war situation. The design itself…. It’s not bad, I like the new fins on the legs, and the new head and chest are nice. The colour scheme’s nice, and it makes sense for a wetlands environment. To be honest, it’s probably that I’m quite fond of the “standard” Gundam ground type, and so the Sliferail just feels like a step away from that, and I feel if anything, it should have leant into the changes a bit more. Up-armour the shoulders, put a ghille cloak on there, maybe remodel the lower legs a little more to better distribute the weight or something.
Type 99 Assault
Last but not least, the Type 99 Assault. The Type 99 assault was an update to the Type 100 Hyaku shiki from the Gryps Conflict and was intended to be a competitor to the Formula Series. It was built around U.C. 123. Though it’s stated to be an upgraded to the hyaku shiki, the Delta Gundam Kai influences are obvious, what with the head and chest. Interestingly, the lineart appears to be drawing from Kazuhisa Kondo’s designs, with the larger wing binders and differently styled head (which reminds me of the rather obscure Hyaku Ichi Shiki), though the design seen in UC engage leans more Delta Kai.
I really like the rear arms and integrated leg thrusters on this one, it gives it a really unique feel. The Gatling gun and beam rifle are both nice touches, and it feels like a machine designed for extended operations. It’s a design I would really like to see more detailed illustrations of, since I’d like to look at it in more detail. The leg thrusters also suggest great agility and remind me of the Anksha from Unicorn, which is nice. I do rather like how Anaheim made the Delta Gundam, and just consistently failed to then take that any further. Like, yeah, it happens a lot with Gundam’s too, where they’re built and they perform well and then they’re just sorta never expanded on, but the way that the Delta line just keeps throwing all these great ideas at the wall with none of them sticking makes it fell like….. I dunno, the Sega Saturn of mobile suits?
Closing
And that’s the highlights for the U.C. Engage Design Series. This ended up being a lot more positive than I was expecting honestly, which is nice. Quick shoutouts to: the Giessen Doga for being so boring I don’t even want to talk about it, the Duffel Jegan for being another ace-use jegan to add to the pile, and the Delta Gundam Ans for not having any good images available.

Title: Jagd Doga Bunny (Quess)
Here's another early Kirby OC to enrolled the "Cuteness Defender Academy" is "Bunny" (which resembles to my Kirby OC, "PopiKir") 🔵⭐. And her first "Cuteness Mecha Armor"? You guest it another armored "Jagd Doga" albeit a "Quess Paraya" custom (manufactured by the Zeon Federation). 🤖
Previous: • Jagd Doga Wii (Gyunei) (Jun 13th, 2010)
Jagd Doga Bunny (Quess) Based on the: MSN-03 Jagd Doga (Quess) [CLICK ME!]
Armament(s):
Beam Saber • A beam saber is stored in the Jagd Doga's left side armor, and serves as its primary close combat weapon. The beam saber generates a beam of plasma contained by an I-field that can cut through any metal alloy that has not been treated to resist it.
Heat Knife • The Jagd Doga's beam saber is unique in having a removable heat knife attached to its handle. The heat knife is a small blade that can be superheated to melt and cut through enemy's armor.
Funnel Pod Shield • One mounted on each shoulder, this shield serves as a storage rack for the funnels on the front and has a triple missile launcher at the back.
Triple Missile Launcher • Three missiles can be fired from behind each funnel pod shield, for a total of six missiles. The missiles could deal moderate to heavy damage to a armor suit, but only deal light damage to a battleship.
Funnel • One of the Jagd Doga's more powerful features is its Newtype-use remote controlled weapons. The six funnels are stored on the two funnel pod shields, each funnel has a power rating of 10.6 MW, and can easily destroy armors or nuclear missiles. They are the same as those used by the MSN-04 armored "Sazabi", but cannot be reused due to a lack of recharge port on the armor suit. Thus, once they ran out of power, they are discarded. The Sleeves' Jagd Doga only has two funnels stored on the left funnel pod shield.
Fixed Shield • Used by The Sleeves' Jagd Doga, it is located on the right arm which originated from Geara Doga. The Geara Doga's arm is a replacement for the original arm that was lost during the Second Neo Zeon War.
Mega Gatling Gun • In the Anime version, a handheld weapon used by Quess Paraya's Jagd Doga, it a beam gun with four revolving barrels and can rapid fire beam shots for a longer period of time. Also known as 'Beam Gatling Gun', it is powered by a rechargeable energy cap.
Grenade launcher • The beam assault rifle mounts a grenade launcher that holds one round. The grenade is not very effective against large ships, but is ideal mid-range anti-armor suit weapons.
Beam Machine Gun • A handheld weapon originally used by the AMS-119 armored "Geara Doga", it is powered by a replaceable e-pac. The beam machine gun was used by The Sleeves' Jagd Doga.
Shield • The Jagd Doga is equipped with a custom round shield. It is treated with an anti-beam coating to temporarily defend against beam weapons and has four built-in mega particle cannons.
Mega Particle Cannon • Mounted in the shield, the four mega particle cannons have a power rating of 9.3 MW each. The power and spread of the beams from the mega particle guns are both powerful and difficult to evade, making them an effective weapon against both armored opponents and battleships.
Special Equipment(s) & Feature(s):
Psycoframe System • A Psycoframe is a technology that builds the brainwave-to-machine code translator known as Psycommu into the armor suit (a.k.a. "Cuteness Mecha Armor"). This allows a Newtype member to control the "Cuteness Mecha Armor" as if it were his/her own body.

Neo Zeon’s Pyscho-Frame
Char’s Neo Zeon
Universal Century 0090 - Johnny B. Gundam
MSK-008 Djeh (Char Aznable Custom)
In the MSV-R: The Return of Johnny Ridden manga, three years before Char’s Rebellion in UC 0090, Char is already in charge of a revived Neo Zeon. He has the Sweetwater colony, his new suave douchebag haircut, the personnel and the Newtype labs run by Nanai Miguel. With that, they produce the first test-bed for the psycho-frame in the form of Char’s modified Dijeh. From the Return of Johnny Ridden Archives :
It was assembled as a test model for the psycho-frame and as a personal machine for the new Neo Zeon commander-in-chief Char Aznable. It uses the same type of Gyre Binder as the Schuzrum Dias and the shield and arm parts planned for the Geara Doga, the main MS currently under development. Under the cockpit is a successfully refined psycho-frame, which is connected to a backup Bio-Sensor. Switching modes activates the psycommu system.
This links to what has already been established about the Geara Doga - Char’s Dijeh also uses its beam rifle. The Dijeh was originally a ground-use Karaba MS, and we saw Amuro pilot it in Zeta (and by Luio & Co in NT). And curiously, the engineer Arlette Almage says : ”That person donated this MS after she had pity on how poor Neo Zeon is …”
It isn’t named the psycho-frame yet, but the main trait of psycommu incorporated within the frame of the MS itself for maximum responsiveness and control is included. He sortied with it into a battle involving multiple parties near Confeito (Solomon) and activated the new system in a fight against Yazan Gable and an amnesiac Johnny Ridden, to which he damaged them both before escaping because the system was too much for the Dijeh too.
MSK-008S Dijeh Traversia
As at the moment I only have access to volumes 1-22 of MSV-R (of which 1 through 15 are translated) in which the Traversia hasn’t appeared in, we’ll have to rely exclusively on Japanese Wikipedia (and it will be used again).
An attack-type mobile suit built in a short period of time by Char 's dedicated team of engineers, including Arlette Armage, in order to acquire the basic data for the next generation of Char's personal machine. In order to shorten the time to install the new psycommu frame on a new machine and readjust it, it is based on Char's Dijeh which was partially destroyed in the previous battle. The most important operational purpose of this machine is the testing of the new funnels. Since it was completed as a minimum armament system, it was given a model number and a unique name unlike the base machine.
It’s described that the output of its nuclear reactor is the highest Neo Zeon had at the time and will later be used by the Jagd Doga. Its head is similar to that of the Dijeh SE-R (now with horns like the Sazabi), which was donated by Anaheim. Aside from that, the obvious is that the legs, arms and the funnel-equipped shoulders are pretty much the same as the eventual Jagd Doga. This implies the Jagd Doga is already far in development by Anaheim at this time.
Universal Century 0092 - Moon Moon River
MRX-013-3 Psycho Gundam Mk-IV G-Doors
In a beginning flashback to UC 0091 in the Mobile Suit Moon Gundam manga, we see the psycommu machine Gundam G-Doors used by Titans remnants before it’s destroyed (aside from the head and its funnel Psycho Plates) by Amuro working under Londo Bell.
The Psycho Plates were developed thanks to assistance from Char (acting under a pseudonym) in order to, if I’m actually understanding the plot right, use the Titans (because of their access to their Newtype labs, as well as experience with psycommu machines and with enhanced pilots) as a field test for the psycho-frame (in the case of the G-Doors, the psycho-frame is incorporated into the funnels) from which he’ll get the results to of to benefit himself while the Titans remnants get wiped out by Londo Bell thanks to his misdirection.
Moreover, this was done for pragmatic reasons considering Neo Zeon’s position:
At the time, Neo Zeon did not have the ability to develop its own psycho-frames, so it had the remnants of the Titans, who had the know-how to operate enhanced humans, develop and demonstrate them on the premise that they would be betrayed and disposed of afterwards.
AMS-123X Varguil
In the story’s present of 0092, the Varguil looks like a Sazabi that lost weight and is a pyscommu prototype unit onboard a Zeon ship transporting Mineva and piloted by a Cyber-Newtype from the NT labs. Its body later was combined with the head/Psycho Plates of the Gundam G-Doors that crashed into the Moon Moon colony (as well as repainted in traditional Gundam colors for a mission to take back Mineva from a Londo Bell ship) to transform it into the eponymous Moon Gundam.
A translated description of the Moon Gundam Mechanical Works by Zeonic Scanlations describes the Varguil as one among perhaps several prototypes, a stepping stone in the lineage leading to the creation of the Sazabi. It also proved inferior in terms of psycommu capabilities to the Jagd Doga, which itself also contributed to the development of Sazabi despite having been rejected as Char’s personal unit because he wasn’t satisfied with its performance. It’s clear that the Varguil must’ve been a key part of that road to the Sazabi despite its failures because of its general aesthetic and the placement of its funnels. Outside of the Mechanical Works, it’s said that the Varguil and Jagd Doga were developed at the same time. It’s probably safe to assume that the X in the model number likely stands for experimental.
MSN-04X2 Sazabi Prototype (Terrain Mode)
Teased in Volume 7 of Moon and fully realized in Volumes 10/11, this Sazabi was built at a Neo Zeon secret base in Antarctica. The Geara Doga is also complete at this time.
A translation description by Zeonic Scanlations - perhaps the most interesting parts are the design of this suit was reached by exploring the possibilities of the psycho-frame, starting with the psycho-plates, and by accumulating data from various prototypes and experimental suits.
And all this was done to illustrate that while the appearance is almost the same, everything about it is totally different from a setting perspective. As the Sazabi is likely the most “powerful” suit, there are probably several prototypes, including some that have been abandoned, so this current model is just one of those.
One might assume this prototype would be tweaked into the final Sazabi we know, but that second quote and the Sazabi Early Test Type (under gravity version)* was one of the models used in constructing the Sazabi under the assumption of an operation to freeze Earth seems to say no. Other things, like the double-seater (and likely the model number MSN-04X2) call back to the MSN-04X Sazabi Test Prototype drawn by Yutaka Izubuchi for the novel Hi-Streamer, which can be described as Tomino’s original version of CCA before it was reworked into Beltorchika’s Children and the movie we know.
AMX-107P Psycho Bawoo
Along with the Sazabi and the Doga, there’s also a handful of Psycho Bawoos, one of which is piloted by Gyunei. They’re all equipped with the Psycho Plates based on that of the G-Doors, so I guess that whole operation paid off.
MS Evolution
The MS Evolution charts are from MS Bible, and this one translated by Zeonic Scanlations is for the Sazabi. It solidifies things we’ve already covered, like the Jagd Doga being meant for Char and that the Varguil was just one of the Sazabi prototypes (as well as developed at the same time as the Jagd),
There’s also the AMS-120X Geara Doga Psycommu System Test Type which we’ve left out until now, made for the Char's Counterattack Mobile Suit Variations and was created by Neo Zeon themselves rather than Anaheim who manufactured the Jagd. Not only is it the first psycommu machine of Char’s Neo Zeon, but here it’s said that it came about before the psycho-frame. That would mean - if we were trying to fit things into place together - that it was created before Char’s Dijeh, the unit with the first working psycho-frame system.
Also, the development for the Geara Doga is said to have started in the late stages of the Gryps War here, while the Fandom wiki and JP Wikipedia places it at the end of the First Neo Zeon War. Either way, it’s mass-production that began in 0090. And speaking of trying to fit things together, this is how the psycho-frame history looks in my mind :
At the time of Char assuming control of Neo Zeon, the development of the Geara Doga is well underway. From it, the AMS-120X is born.
The AMS-120X is shelved, leading to the start of Jagd Doga’s development - the Varguil’s development would also start at this time. Jagd Doga parts are integrated into the Dijeh Traversia for effective field-testing, from which the Jagd Doga is completed shortly after.
The Jagd is rejected as Char’s machine. The involvement with the Titans remnants would start to perfect the psycho-frame for the unit that will eventually become the Sazabi.
The Sleeves

AMX-107R Rebawoo
From Dengeki Data Collection - Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn :
The transformable MS AMX-107 Bawoo, developed by Haman's Neo Zeon, is a machine that has undergone major modifications by the Sleeves. In addition to the separation function of the original machine, a psycho-frame is employed in the cockpit area of the upper body (Bawoo Attacker) and the nose of the lower body (Bawoo Nutter). This enables more advanced coordinated maneuvering by means of the pilot's sensor waves. It was intended to be a dedicated machine for Full Frontal, but after the MSN-06S Sinanju was acquired, it was confirmed that other pilots boarded it and it was deployed in actual combat.
Appears in the manga U.C. 0094: Across The Sky and U.C. 0096: Last Sun, piloted by the Cyber-Newtype Luger Lugh.

Universal Century 0096 - Heart-Shaped Laplace’s Box
Sinanju & Neo Zeong II
The Sinanju isn’t a creation of the Sleeves, but the modified Sinanju Stein they took in 0094 that was officially meant for the Federation’s UC Project and was developed by Anaheim. Narrative retroactively added in the fact that there was a second Stein unit that was stolen back then as well. More about that, the Stein and the Rebawoo can be read about on this page written by Tom Aznable. It can perhaps be assumed that the MSN-06S-2 was kept in storage by the faction within the Republic of Zeon that supported the Sleeves behind the scenes led by Minister Monaghan Bakharo until it was time to send it out along with the Neo Zeong II to capture the Phenex.
Basic info on Neo Zeong/Neo Zeong II by Kakarot197 - the choice to go back to wire-guide arms probably had to be done specifically because the II is the spare parts backup. In the Sinanju’s evolution chart in MS Bible shows that the Alpha Azieru is linked towards the Neo Zeong. As for its development, which is otherwise vague :
According to Ryoji Kansai, there is no way that this machine could have been made solely by the Sleeves, and the design was transferred from Anaheim as a deterrent to the Unicorn Gundam.
In Narrative, it’s mentioned that the basic design of the Neo Zeong was made by Full Frontal himself. As for trivia on the NZ II :
According to Shunichi Yoshizawa, the director of NT, the red paint added as an accent to the shoulders is said to be a decoration inspired by kabuki Kumadori and biological blood vessels.
NZ-666 Kshatriya
One of my favorite MS ever. From Dengeki Data Collection - Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn :
The concept was to downsize the NZ-000 Queen Mansa, which was deployed in the First Neo Zeon War, while maintaining its performance. By placing the psycho-frame around the cockpit, the space-saving psycho-mechanical equipment was successfully reduced, resulting in a smaller fuselage. It was a milestone in the development of new-type mobile suits based on Zeon technology. Despite its high degree of perfection, it is difficult for the limited resources of the Sleeves to reproduce it, let alone repair it when damaged. In addition, because of the complexity of its fire control system, it could only be handled by Marida Cruz, an enhanced human being.
And from Wikipedia :
It is an exceptionally high-performance machine in the year 0096, but the only psycho-frames possessed by the Sleeves are those ordered from AE during the Second Neo Zeon War, and there are no facilities to reproduce them, so it is a one-and-only machine that is difficult to maintain.
Lastly, the red Jagd Doga that Quess used before she left it behind to go die in the Alpha Azieru was passed down to the Sleeves, where it was piloted by one of the Royal Guards. From Dengeki Data Collection - Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn :
This is a machine modified by the Sleeves from the Neo Zeon Newtype MS led by Char Aznable. Its right arm, which was missing, was repaired by using it from the Geara Doga, its base machine. It is also equipped with funnels, but only two were lost in the battle during Char's Rebellion. The fuselage color was also changed from the red of the prototype to a yellow.
Outside of inspiring a grieving young man to become a mass terrorist, this is the only worthwhile contribution of Quess’ existence to anyone.
